David Shallenberger Shares Your Cares and is ready to work for our community
My family and I are excited to announce that I am running for the Utah House of Representatives for District 58. I love this community and am ready to work tirelessly to protect it.
We’re local—born and raised. I recognize that my first responsibility is to my wife and kids. I want to ensure my children are raised in a home that gives them every opportunity to learn and participate in the community, encouraged by the laws of our great State. I believe the best government is achieved by ordinary, everyday people running for office who know good economics and understand their role to represent the community that voted them in.
I’m a business owner. I own and operate a local clothing e-commerce company called Coalatree that produces eco-friendly outdoor clothing and accessories. Additionally, I have worked for 20 years at Synergy Companies, helping the company grow from a small energy service company to one of the premier energy efficiency companies in the Western United States, with headquarters located in Orem. I credit our team of over 300 incredibly talented employees for our success and grit to get the job done. I work directly with municipalities, water districts, the State Public Utility Commissions, and the State Energy Commissions to help implement water and energy conservation projects for their residents. Because of my business experience, I see the big picture and am passionate about supporting state laws that consider smart infrastructure and sustainable economic growth. My success and strength in business are seeking opportunities and strategic growth.
I’m ready to serve. I was raised here in Utah County, and currently, I live in Orem, Utah, with my wife, Lara, and six kids. Our family loves spending time together and being involved in community sports and outdoor recreation. I am a local Precinct Chair, a Utah Republican State and County Delegate, participate, and volunteer with the Utah County Republican Party. As a conservative, I believe in individual choice and voice. I will listen and connect with the people I serve.
